We had a very happy Easter!!! AJ loved his Easter basket, especially when he saw the eggs opened and he was able to find cool papers in there (dollars)!! He ate the grass immediately but loved all the new things. He also loved all the turkey, mashed potatoes and deviled eggs that he got to eat. He also got a great suit for Easter from grandma and grandpa Casados and I couldn’t believe how terrible adorable he looked in it. Unfortunately it was conference this weekend so we did not have church and of course, he happed until half way through mass but he still looked too stinking cute.

We have learned that once things are out of sight, they ARE NOT out of mind. I had an escapee the other night and decided to follow him to see where he was speeding off to bare naked. I guess he had not had enough of the Tupperware!!

The girls did great, the little solo girl won queen, the older solo girl got third and the groups placed great. We got great reviews and I was so proud of them especially for their first competition EVER!!!

We are loving food at our house these days. AJ seems to think that he needs to have his baby food and then eat whatever we are having. He can eat crackers, onions (which he loves), cookie, noodles and a whole array of other things. I did not get as many pictures as I wanted for christmas because we video taped AJ opening everything. He made out like a bandit with all the toys and clothes from all of the family. As most of you know, AJ is named after both of his Paternal great grandpa's and it is so great to see when his great grandpa Tony gets to spend time with him. There is nothing that melts your heart as much as seeing the two and the generation gap but how much they make each other smile. I can see Grandpa Tony light up to one hundred thousand watts when he holds AJ and those moments are definately some of my favorite.

Our sweet little baby is really on the move these days. He has learned how to "army crawl" and is just a bit away from actually crawling. Now that he can move straight forward, he is finding a whole new world of new "toys". Apparently dad's shoes by the door seemed quite enticing on this particular day.

My son is such a funny sleeper, Richie says he is going to start having nightmares from the flashes cause I take so many sleeping pictures but I just cant help it. This is hilarious, I spent the day cleaning out AJ's drawers and packing up the clothes that are too small for him. I went through his drawer with bigger clothes also to see what he would fit into now. I found these PJ's that I somehow missed before and thought I thought they were going to be too small, I thought I would give them a try cause I knew his daddy would love them. They are totally too small but they look really funny, then when I tried to put him in pjs that fit, he started screaming and rolling all over so I just decided he must like them so he can wear them for the night, totally hilarious.

We were having a little trouble the other day with AJ's bowels and I wasnt sure what to do so I went to the store hoping to get some pharmacist advice and ran into one of the doctors that I know pretty well, he told me that although AJ isnt eating solids yet that a little bit of prunes would do the trick and wouldnt hurt him so we decided to give it a try. He was so cute, and I think he liked them!! (yuck)

I love to take AJ for walks and he likes to ride in my front carrier rather than the stroller cause he can see more. Richie decided to take him the other day and they were so cute. Happy Halloween

Halloween is one of my favorite holidays cause I love seeing all the kiddos dressed up so cute. This year for AJ's first halloween, we dressed him as superman and I dont think I have ever seen such a cute superman in my whole life. We went to our ward halloween party and Richie was able to meet us there even though he was working so that was nice. I suggested that we needed to dress up like the three bears as a family, but Rich didnt find that idea too funny. Any of you that know us very well know our little bear joke in the family. We have been trying hard lately to get AJ on a regular sleeping schedule because we are having a hard time getting him to take naps. Our DR says to let him begin to put himself to sleep, even if he has to cry it out for awhile. The first couple of days were hard to hear him cry but it seems to be helping because he is now taking two or three naps a day. We noticed that once he scoots himself into his little "spot" in the crib, he goes to sleep pretty well.

Last glimpse of great weather

Rich traded in his Ford for a dodge last week and the day that we were getting the truck cleaned up to trade was beautiful. It was warm and sunny but not too hot. AJ and I sat outside enjoying the last bit of good weather I think we will have before the winter. I had to spend a lot of time sitting behing AJ since he is too young for sun screen but I didnt want his head to get sunburnt. He just loves it outside, just like his mom and dad.

Before I became a mother, I used to laugh at those moms and dads that would sneak into their babies rooms just to watch them sleep. Now that I am a mommy, I totally get it. I love to just watch how he positions himself. For awhile he was moving to his side with his arms up, then when he learned to roll over he would roll over and sleep on his belly. Well now, he either sleeps with his arms under his head and his legs tucked under his tummy so his bum is in the air or else he scoots to the end of the crib so that his head is in the corner. It is so funny, I which I could know what is going through that precious little head of his. And did I mention that I love nap time on the couch with my little angel.

Rich and I bought this outfit the when I was about 5 months pregnant. We never found out if we were having a boy or a girl until he arrived so I had just came to the realization that I was going to be making a lot of camoflauge headbands or bows if we had a little girl cause with Rich as the dad, our children are gonna wear camo. This outfit finally fits him and he is so cute in it that I just want to squeeze the heck out of him.

It always touches me to see AJ with his daddy. I am so lucky to have such a wonderful hands on husband who enjoys taking care of his son. AJ cannot yet eat solids but Richie and I make it a point to sit at the table for meals and have him there with us so he gets used to having family time during dinner. Now that he is big enough to sit in it, he loves his high chair and wants to sit in there while we eat and while we cook or clean so he can watch us. He also loves the wash cloths that we have from Grandpa Tony that he knitted so we sit him in the high chair with a cloth and he is happy as can be.

My sister in law Anne Marie bough AJ this cute little halloween onesie that has a skeleton on it and the bones glow in the dark. The picture in the swing is when we first got the outfit and the others are just a week later but you can see how fast he is growing by how he fills it out in just a week. As most of you know, I have been running my own dance studio since the beginning of the year. We were asked by the Pinedale Fine Arts Council to take part in the ballet "Cinderella" put on by State Street Ballet Company out of Santa Barbara, California. It was an amazing opportunity for the girls and they had so much fun meeting the professional dancers and having costume fittings for the Own costumes. Here is the handful of girls that participated and then a picture of two of my girls that are particularily special to me as they are such great and joyful students and their moms help me out SOOO much with dance and with AJ or whatever I need. As I said in the previous post, we recently got a new couch!! We had been planning to get a couch for a long time now but were not really in a rush for one. Well, I decided one night when we were going to a benefit dinner that I needed to shine my Harley Davidson leather boots, and for some reason, I decided to do so on the couch. Well, I got shoe shine all over the couch, making a new couch a necessity. We got lucky and found a couch the next day in Rock Springs and the best part, it was almost half off!!! Our dogs, Princess and Dakota are very spoiled. Much less now that we have AJ and he is pretty much the man of the house but they are still pretty spoiled. So much so that they think that they are above laying on the regular floor. They are used to the bed or the couch with us but we recently got a new couch so they are no longer allowed on there. I had folded a comforter and put it by the hall closet so rich could put it on the top shelf and another day, I had a pillow on the floor while laying with AJ for tummy time and here are the results of that.

Richie bought this outfit that says "Born to Hunt" like a week after we found out we were expecting. Since we did not know what we were having until he was born, I think Richie didnt care if it was a boy or girl but that no matter what, he would make a hunter out of them. He hasn't been able to fit into the outfit or the camo hunting boots until recently and as always, he is so darn cute!

Snuggle Time

My favorite passtime is snuggling my little baby. I really cherish these moments with him and love to rock him to sleep or just curl up in the recliner and snuggle with him. He is growing so fast and I know that soon enough he will not want to cuddle so I am totally taking advantage of it while I can.

AJ's aunt Karen and uncle Taylor are Wyoming Cowboy fans and they bought us the CUTEST onsie, had, bib and sock set. The socks and hat are a little to big but the onesie and the bib fit great and he looks so adorable in the outfit. We are so lucky that both my family and Rich's family are so great to us and our son and we are blessed to have the loving family that we do that loves our beautiful son so much.

Go Broncos

Rich is a big broncos fan so when my dad found out that we were going to have a boy he went out and picked out a cute onesie and hat set of Broncos. He is not quite big enough to fit into the onesie but the hat fits him better than any others and he totally looks so cute in it. especially when he gets mad a glares cause his hat is down on his face and his cheeks are so chubby. He is just the cutest little baby boy in the world.

Pinedale Aquatics Center

While my family was here this weekend, we decided to take the kids to the aquatics center. This was AJ's first time going swimming and he wasnt really sure what to think but he was having fun after a bit. He sure had a pretty tight grip on my swimsuit. We didnt stay in for long cause he started to shiver but he was so super cute in shorts and chubby belly.

Visit from Family

This weekend my mom, sister and two of her kids came to visit. We had a lot of fun visiting and watching movies and laughing a lot. I love when my family is able to come and visit us cause I love seeing AJ with them and I love spending time with them myself. Family has always been important to me but there is a whole new meaning brought on when you have children of your own and you begin to realize how very precious every moment with family is.

Muddy Puppy

Dakota is the most curious dog I have ever met. He gets into everything, steals things from the neighbors and brings them home (including a blanket and a bag of marshmallows) and he LOVES the water. The other day, there was a puddle that looked inticing to him so he decided to play in it. Too bad the puddle was a mud puddle. This is what I had the pleasure of cleaning up when he got home.

Hunting Season

My family is crazy and we all have a thing about the great finds we get at the dollar store. My sister said that AJ wouldnt be complete without dollar store PJ's and since we dont have one here in the big metropolis of Pinedale, she brought some down when she visited. They are by far my favorite PJ's on him, they make him look so cute but, they also make him look like he is turning from a baby to a little boy, which I am maybe not too keen on yet!!

Napping with Dad

Richie is working nights right now so it is nice when he is happing during the day because he gets a chance to nap with the sweet little AJ. I get to nap with him and put him to bed all the time so it is nice when his dad gets a chance cause it is those simple moments that are so special to parents!!

AJ was so tired the other day, he fell asleep when we put him down to have some tummy time. Usually he lifts his head up and looked around but I guess this day a nap sounded much better than playing

AJ has a cousing cody who is one of the cutest little stinkers I have ever met. He is so chunky and he looks just like his daddy in the face. He and AJ are three months apart so it was fun to watch them play and Richie seemed to have fun playing with them also.

Momma's Boy

Aj began this mamma's boy stuff last weekend when we were in Utah. He has always loved other people taking him as long as they talk to him but he sure didn't like it last weekend and he has continued the pattern. Last night, I left for a few hours and when I came home, he had been crying the whole time and when I took him he smiled and grinned like it was all better. It makes me feel needed but also makes me think what in the world am I in for?

Two Generations of Best Friends!!

I got to see my BFF (haha) Jenna when we were in Utah and it was so great. We had not seen each other since May when we were both VERY pregnant. I got to meet her sweet baby Christian, who is six days younger than AJ and she got to meet AJ. We were able to just hang out and play with the babies and her cute dog Tally at my moms house and it was just like we were teenagers again, only this time with babies!! We decided our sons were born with a best friend already as her and I have been best friends for about 12 years now and for many, many years to come so they are bound to have to spend time with each other!!

Family Reunion

Last Saturday we had a family reunion for the Hatch family (my stepdads family). It was also grandpa Keith's 78th birthday. We met at Merlin Olsen Park and had a blast. It was great seeing everyone, especially all the babies. My sis Alesha has a little man that I just got to meet and of course, I got to see all my other neices and nephews. The picnic was complete with Kenzie falling into the river and loosing her sippy cup down the stream. And of course, our family functions wouldnt be complete without something going wrong. This time it was a lost child. We found her though and we all had a great time!! Always good to see family

These are just pictures of AJ and us playing around at the house. I so much enjoy being able to be home with him. He is growing so fast and I think that I am probably the happiest I have ever been with him now in my life. The best times are when we are just sitting around enjoying being a family.

AJ was baptized on Kenzie's birthday so we decided to have cake and icecream at our house for her since her whole family would be here. It was so much fun and she loved all of her gifts.
